Meditation

You must learn to focus your mind to be powerful and effective in anything you do. The first step is to learn the art of witnessing, watching the mind – seeing where your thoughts are going. Concentration must be achieved before meditation is possible. When you begin sitting for meditation the first thing you will become aware of is all the resistance you have to holding the body and the mind still. Your thoughts will be flowing all over the place, your mind like a wild untrained horse that resists being reigned.

Training the mind to concentrate on one sound – one thought – will help you to be able to focus your mental energy like a laser beam. I am going to have you meditate with a mantra to help you hold your mind steady and one-pointed. Mantras are simply – sounds of God – pure God Vibration. Repeating mantras while meditating is like putting clean drops of water in a dirty pool of mindstuff. The more God Vibration that goes in, the more dirt that will rise to the surface, so sometimes you will feel more agitated during meditation as old pain and trauma are released from deep within your subconscious mind.

You will experience such profound changes in yourself and your life, just by consistently practicing this simple process of going inward and connecting with God. We block our intuitive nature with worry and rational thinking. God is infinitely wise. Connect up to His Energy each day and let wisdom flow to you. Focused effort is what assists rapid connection to your Soul, your High Self and God. A regular meditation practice will increase your Light. You will shine brighter each day. This will draw the attention of beautiful Beings of Light who will be touched by your devotion and effort to connect with God and will begin to watch over your process and guide you.

Learning to breathe properly and to systematically relax your body are basic skills that are essential to your healing and spiritual development process. Relaxation should be a daily part of your life. In our society we are programmed to achieve, to compete, to produce more and more. We are not taught how to balance all of this outer activity by withdrawing our energies inward and nurture and energize ourselves by connecting to the Universal Source of all Energy and Inspiration.

Relaxation is not-doing. No effort is involved. Practicing systematic relaxation will help you to first of all be aware of how you hold tension in your body and then teach you how to let go. It takes so much energy to hold tension. After a relaxation session you will feel energized, yet quiet and centered.

The breath is the key to relaxing the body and centering the mind. The breath has a profound effect on your physical & psychological functioning since it is the link between the body and mind. So, by learning to control your breath, you will learn how to control your mind and balance your emotions.

All disease in the body stems from lack of circulation. By re-training yourself to breathe properly you will consistently be able to bring needed nutrients to all parts of your body and effectively release trapped toxins. There isn’t a day that goes by that we are not taking in toxins through something we ate or the air that we breathe. We even create toxins whenever we think negatively. The breath is our vehicle to effectively and consistently nourish and cleanse ourselves at the physical, emotional and mental levels.
